Rockford Day 10 Treatment Summary

  8/2/2024

Day 10 summary at Rockford at the Orchards:

- Got up @ 6:15 or a full hour early than normal.

-Calm morning with enough time to complete all pre-class tasks.

-Girls got their walk, ride, and treats.
-Travel to the facility was non-eventful.

-Arrived on time at 9:30 a.m.

-A total of 14 participants were in attendance with 4 being new patients. The larger than normal audience resulted in an extended check in and check out process limiting the amount of content reviewed in today's session.

- A.M check in process/goal review:
  1. Current state-Feeling good
  2. Status of yesterday's goal. List the people in my life to whom I'm the closest and state why you trust those individuals. Bring completed worksheet to class tomorrow.

-Module 1 focused on socialization. Each person paired up in groups of 2 and answered 45 questions related to personal likes, dislikes, and unique qualities individuals possess. Some questions were as follows:
  • Where were you born
  • What is one weird fact about you
  • What is your least favorite holiday.
  • Name one thing you are super proud of
  • Who is your favorite superhero

-When complete, each person was called upon to discuss what they learned about their partner during this exercise.

-The lesson of this module was that socializing can reduce symptoms of depression by decreasing feelings of loneliness, isolation, and anxiety.

Key takeaway today
Be fully engaged in the present moment, embrace your thoughts and feelings without becoming overwhelmed by them. When anxiety hits, grounding yourself in the present can act like an anchor, keeping your mind from worries and fear.

Most impactful moment
I received applause during the check in meeting my goal from the previous day.

Weekend Goals
Clean home, replace mailbox, ride bike, hike, demonstrate that I've opened my window of tolerance by effectively coping with emotions. Set effective boundaries to resolve emotions such as resentment, anger, irritability, and anxiety.  In a relationship boundaries are a way to keep yourself and others safe because you can come to an interaction without resentment, anger, stress and anxiety. You are more pleasant and present with what's showing up in the moment.

Concerns:
Unrelated to treatment or medication but worthy to note is I didn't get much sleep last night. Thie diet, however, is improving.

Response
50 total hours of therapy and 12 doses of Abilify.  Excited about my progress. Freely talking in and outside the group without anxiety.
